Vibe posted this pic of Nas and Wino celebrating Damien Marley's bday after their sell out show in Hammersmith....funny. Wonder what he was saying? (get off me you freak-boobed loon??)

I forgot to tell you all about their show I went to in Brum....it was withouth doubt, the BEST (ok after Teedra's conecrt) concert I have EVER been to, and I been to ALOT. They performed tracks from their joint album 'Distant Relatives' (which if you haven't been and bought yet SHAME ON YOU!) plus some solo tracks, and Jr Gong even performed some of his Dads tunes....MASSIVE. The vibe was amazing, a real mixed crowd.

P.s Shouts to the flag guy...he must have some STRONG shoulders man!! he didn't stop all night!!

Here's how the interview went.....

The song "Brave" tackles your divorce from Nas. Was that song therapeutic for you to write?

"After [the split], everyone was like 'You are going through a rough time, you should write something personal.' I wear my feelings on my sleeve. The hardest decisions are the best ones and for me that was really the case. I am definitely better today than I was a year ago. And I'll be better next year."

So you get along with Nas now?

"Yeah everything's fine. We are divorced, but there is no point to fighting -- there is nothing to fight about. I am super happy; my life is awesome. We are friends, we get along now and it's all good."

Your son, Knight, is celebrating his first birthday on July 22. What are some of his recent milestones?

"He is hilarious! He claps, he snaps and he waves. He is a shrunken little person and has a lot of personality."

Do you think he'll follow in your footsteps and be a musician too?

"I don’t know. Whatever he does, I will be supportive and be a good mother. He does really have his own taste. He definitely jams!"

The Beef continues....
Current Hip Hop Beef between Nicki Minaj / Drake and Lil Kim / Ray J (prat) is ongoing....
So Lil Kim did a live interview with thisis50.com and said of Drake: "I really liked Drake. I used to like him but for him to have the audacity to disrespect me?! This n*gga gonna f*cking shout me out when Ray J is the one that said it. How b*tchy do you look right now? You look like a straight p*ssy, P*ssy! Cause you came at me and I am a f*cking female!" Wow. I guess she has a point....

Of Nicki she said: "My thing is, homegirl (Minaj) got a nice little buzz going. It’s obvious I’m who she wants to be like. It’s obvious that she likes me and wants to be like me but she’s not paying this homage."

Miss Minaj seems to be popping up left, right and centre in the goss columns these days....fame hungry? or actually just that interesting? I'll let you decide!

So this week Nicki is involved in a lesbian love traingle..... ok guys, calm down :-)  .....we all know she admitted to being bisexual a while back, so no-one was surprised when she gave Cassie a shout in Usher's song: 'Lil Freak' and I quote: "I'm plotting on how I can take Cassie away from Diddy"  and it seems she's working on doing just that....Waaart!

Recently, the two have been inseperable. She tweeted this pic of her and newly blonde Cassie with the caption "Wit my Wife" ok k k.....

The duo were then seen walking around, holding hands at the Summer Jam for Hot 97. (see below). Note to Cassie: I really don't like that mullet / shave style, she's too pretty to pull it off, no?

Now the cynical side of me screams....'PUBLICITY STUNT!' And who coud blame Cassie, her career is down the PAN, the naked shots with her ladygarden out didn't work, maybe she's thinking this will? And where the heck is Diddy? Step up and get your girl back P Poppa Diddy!

Ok so i was listening as usual to Mistajam's show on 1xtra last week and to my delight, Rusko was the guest! The dubstep don was talking about his 'new sound', working with Britney (yes Spears!!!!) on an upcoming single, can't WAIT for that one, and his friendship / collaboration with M.I.A. The Sri-Lankan born, South London bred, musical genius.

The track is called 'XXXO'. It's totally not what we have come to expect from MIA, check it out here and see what you think (this is just a radio rip. No video leaks as yet)....and peep the gold knuckle duster ring, LUSH!

Sticking to the Dubstep theme this week, this next track is a straight BANGER! Due for release soon, it's from the Crackhouse Volume 2 EP which I can't seem to get hold of ANYWHERE.....someone help me?! Check this out, it's Heavy with a capital H mate.

In your face Kelis!!!

Another example of why having your partner tattooed onto your skin is NEVER a good idea! After 7 years together and a little nipper on the way, Nas & Kelis seemed like a pretty solid couple. Solid enough to tattoo your girl's naked body across your forearm yes? NO Nas NO!!!! So this is the original tatt in all its ahem, glory......

So the story goes...in April this year, Kelis shocked everyone by splitting from Nas while seven months pregs and filing for divorce! She cited 'irreconcilable differences' which could have something to do with the rumours Nas was too drunk to go to hospital for pregnancy stuff.....I'm not even going to detail the rumour about a sextape involving Kelis and what was deifinitely NOT Nas! oh the drama.

Weeelllll, Nas has now done the most obviously sensible thing he could do...........
turn Kelis's face into a Lionhead of course!!!! Voila:

Beef!!!!!!!

So I know I already posted this on my facebook ( facebook.com/jessica.rabbit.slater ) but it's just too juicy not to bring into my lovely blog too!!
Beef is a-brewing in the Hip Hop femcee world! So Lil Kim thinks Nicki Minaj is copying her style and should pay homage to the 'Queen Bee'....Nicki insists she loves Lil Kim but why should she kiss her ass?

It all started when Lil Kim, performing with Ray J in the States came out in a pink wig announcing "Y'all know who this is, I love starting trends" and laughing....she tore off the wig and threw it into the crowd closing her performance by saying “I’m going to another level. I love the wigs and everything but I’m so above them”. Nicki responded with the following tweet:

You can see where this is going....it followed with Lil Kim going live on air saying that Nicki Minaj should pay homage & respect blah blah blah.

The next evening, Young Money were performing Bedrock when the track had finished, Drake took to the Mic and dropped this bombshell...

To Nicki: "Can I say something? I know you be calling women b*tches n' sh*t but I can’t say you the baddest b*tch. I can’t do that because I respect you, I love you too much and you're too beautiful. So I just wanna say: you the baddest WOMAN to do this rap sh*t. I don’t give a f*ck what Lil’ Kim or nobody else is talkin about, you’re the baddest chick to ever do this sh*t! ” Nicki turned around laughing, then came back and hugged him. He told her “I love you.” Then he left the stage.

Wowzers....nothing like the hottest thing in rap right now backin' ya corner!

Now, personally I'm thinking, Lil Kim....you had your time, you did your time and you mashed up your face. It's Nicki's time to shine....don't hate, appreciate!!! To be continued (Stay tuned I'll blog regularly on this).
